Glycerol is a natural component of the skin, making up part of the so called Natural Moisturising Factor (NMF).
In addition it reinforces the skin’s protective barrier, softening the driest parts of our skin.
It’s mainly used as a protective agent for our skin, protecting it against heat, sunlight, humidity or even against chafing.
