Warning: beware of substances that don’t let your skin breathe

Your skin pores allow sweat to surface to your skin’s outer layers. Sweat mainly helps us to regulate our body temperature as well as to eliminate toxins. Certain substances - known as comedogenic agents- lead to clogged skin pores and don’t let skin breathe properly. These can range from chlorine wax to certain medications. By blocking the communication channels to the exterior, dirt builds up and can lead to infections. That’s why it’s important to use skincare products that are specially formulated for deep cleansing.
